Kelly's Decision to End the Show
In an interview on TODAY, Kelly explained that changes in her family life influenced her decision to step back from the show. She emphasized the importance of cherishing life's precious moments.
Following the passing of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock in August 2025, Kelly felt overwhelmed by her responsibilities and decided it was time to prioritize and reduce her workload.
Kelly's Future Plans
Despite ending her talk show, Kelly will be a coach on Season 29 of The Voice, titled The Voice: Battle of Champions. The season premieres on Feb. 23 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC and will be available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
