Hilary Duff expressed deep sadness over her strained relationship with her older sister, Haylie Duff. In an interview on CBS Mornings on February 20, Hilary tearfully shared how not having her sister in her life felt lonely.

Her latest album, "Luck ... Or Something," features a song titled "We Don't Talk," which she confirmed is about her difficult relationship with Haylie. Hilary mentioned that many people can relate to feeling incomplete without a significant person in their lives.

Hilary performed the emotional song during her first headline show in 18 years at London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on January 19. Despite the personal nature of the track, she decided to include it on her album as it reflects her reality.

The actress acknowledged the challenges of having her private life scrutinized on social media and shared that she tries not to let the negative comments affect her. While she is aware of the speculation, she emphasized the importance of staying true to herself.

Hilary expressed uncertainty about whether Haylie would listen to the album or the song dedicated to their strained relationship. The singer explained that sharing her truth through her music was a healing process for her.

Despite the public nature of their relationship, Hilary clarified that she has no ill intentions toward her sister and is simply sharing her personal experience. "Luck ... Or Something" is now available for listeners.
