Shocking: Daughter Attacked 18 Times in Bedroom, Mother Discovers
A mother was horrified to find another woman stabbing her daughter in their shared apartment in Pocatello, Idaho. Marita Gonzales has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery for attacking a 32-year-old woman in the apartment.
The incident occurred when the daughter invited Gonzales, whom she met online, to their home on Sunday, February 15. The mother heard suspicious noises around 10 p.m. and discovered her daughter being stabbed 18 times by Gonzales.
Upon entering the room, the mother was also cut in the face by Gonzales before she fled the scene. The injured daughter was found nude and covered in blood with multiple stab wounds on her face, head, neck, and hands.
The daughter was airlifted to a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is currently in stable condition. The mother was treated at a local hospital and has been released. Gonzales was identified through surveillance footage and arrested on February 17, with a $1 million bond set.
