Shocking: Man Shoots Wife and Kids Amid Cheating Accusation
A man in New Mexico, Luis Sanchez, has been arrested for shooting his wife and her two young children at their home in Tijeras. The incident occurred after he accused his wife of infidelity, resulting in the death of her 4-year-old son and leaving her and the 1-year-old child critically injured.
Sanchez, 41, was charged with multiple felonies, including intentional child abuse resulting in death and aggravated battery of a household member. Deputies responded to a domestic violence report and found Sanchez armed with a handgun. Shots were fired inside the residence before Sanchez was apprehended after resisting arrest.
The 4-year-old boy died at the scene, while the mother and her 1-year-old son were hospitalized in critical condition. The woman, an assistant district attorney, remains unidentified. The Sheriff described the crime scene as one of the most horrific encountered by law enforcement.
Sanchez, who allegedly made concerning statements when apprehended, is being held without bond at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center. He is set for a detention hearing on February 25, with no information on his plea or legal representation available at present.
