Shocking Incident: Man Attacks Family After Accusing Wife of Infidelity
A man in New Mexico, Luis Sanchez, was arrested and charged with serious felonies after allegedly shooting his wife and her two young children during a domestic violence incident in Tijeras. The tragic event resulted in the death of the woman's 4-year-old son and left the mother and her 1-year-old child critically injured.
Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting ongoing domestic violence involving Sanchez, who was armed with a handgun. Shots were fired inside the residence, leading to Sanchez's arrest after a confrontation with law enforcement.
The criminal complaint stated that Sanchez, 41, left the house naked and made disturbing remarks about his wife before the shooting. The 4-year-old boy died at the scene, while the mother and her 1-year-old son were hospitalized in critical condition.
The woman, identified as an assistant district attorney, was asleep when Sanchez accused her of infidelity, leading to the violent outburst. The sheriff described the crime scene as one of the most distressing encountered by responders.
Sanchez is held without bond at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center and is scheduled for a court hearing on February 25. His legal representation status and plea entry following the charges remain undisclosed.
