During her initial colposcopy, a portion of her cervix was removed. Subsequently, she underwent a cone biopsy to extract abnormal tissue. The biopsy indicated clear margins around the tumor, indicating the cancer has not spread beyond the cervix but there is still a risk of further spread.

Polizzi shared her plan for a hysterectomy while retaining her ovaries. The next steps will be determined based on the results of her PET scan.
