Surprising Update: Jake Paul Undergoes Second Surgery Post Double Jaw Break in Boxing Bout
Jake Paul, 29, underwent another surgery for his broken jaw, as he shared on Instagram on February 20. The surgery was needed due to complications from not resting properly in the past two months.
The post included images of Paul in the hospital bed and undergoing an MRI, along with his fiancee, Jutta Leerdam, an Olympic speed skater who recently won a gold medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy.

Paul was emotional as he watched Leerdam, 27, set an Olympic record and win a gold medal in the women's 1,000-meter speed skating competition at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Paul sustained the jaw injury during a boxing match with Anthony Joshua on December 19, 2025, where he broke his jaw in two places, leading to hospitalization immediately after the fight.
Supporting Leerdam and Recovery
In December, Paul traveled to the Netherlands to support Leerdam in her Olympic speed skating qualifying race. Despite a fall during the event, she still qualified for the 2026 Olympics in Italy.
Paul and Leerdam, who met on Instagram in 2022, publicly announced their engagement in April 2023 and are now on the road to recovery together after Paul's recent surgery.
