Surprising X-Ray Revealed: Lindsey Vonn's Leg Injury Post-2026 Olympics
Lindsey Vonn, the Olympic skier, has revealed a photo of her broken leg after a serious crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics. She shared an x-ray image showing her broken bone stabilized with plates and screws.
Following the crash, Vonn had to undergo multiple surgeries in Italy. She suffered a left tibia fracture during the downhill event on February 8 and was airlifted off the course in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Vonn, 41, is currently recovering in Italy and has expressed gratitude for the support she has received. She mentioned that she is still in the hospital, taking baby steps towards recovery, and will soon explain the extent of her injury.
Despite the physical challenges, Vonn also faced emotional difficulty as her beloved dog, Leo, passed away the day after her crash. She described the loss as one of the hardest moments of her life.
Leo had been battling health issues, including lung cancer, and his passing added to the emotional strain Vonn was already experiencing. The skier had also torn her ACL just days before the Olympics but decided to compete regardless.
