Spooky Photos Show Nick Reiner Bald and Seated in Glass-Enclosed Courtroom
Nick Reiner, 32, appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom wearing a brown jumpsuit for an arraignment related to the murders of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner. The arraignment took place on Monday, February 23, where Nick pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances.
Rob, 78, and Michele, 70, were found dead in their Brentwood, California home on December 14, 2025. Nick has a brother, Jake, 34, and a sister, Romy, 28. Rob was also the adoptive father of Tracy, 61, the daughter of his ex-wife Penny Marshall.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner determined the cause of Rob and Michele's deaths to be "multiple sharp force injuries," ruling it as a homicide. Nick, facing charges of first-degree murder, could potentially receive life in prison without parole or the death penalty if convicted.
Legal Proceedings and Defense Changes
During Nick's initial court appearance on December 17, 2025, his lawyer, Alan Jackson, stated it was premature for Nick to enter a plea. Subsequently, Jackson stepped down as Nick's counsel earlier this year, citing circumstances beyond their control for the decision.
Kimberly Greene was appointed as Nick's public defender after Jackson's departure. Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman expressed confidence in securing a conviction for the murders of Rob and Michele, while a spokesperson for the family stated they trust the legal process but declined further comments on the ongoing proceedings.
