Celebrity Nick Reiner's Drastic New Look in Spooky Courtroom Shots
Nick Reiner appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom wearing a brown jumpsuit for his arraignment related to the murders of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner. He pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder and waived his right to a speedy trial. His next court date is set for April 29, and he will remain in prison without bail.
Rob, 78, and Michele, 70, were found dead in their Brentwood, California, home on December 14, 2025. Besides Nick, they had a son Jake, 34, and a daughter Romy, 28. Rob Reiner was also the adoptive father of Tracy, 61, Penny Marshall's daughter.
The cause of death for Rob and Michele was determined to be "multiple sharp force injuries" ruled as a homicide by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. Nick, charged with two counts of first-degree murder, could face life imprisonment without parole or the death penalty if convicted.
Nick Reiner's Legal Proceedings
Nick Reiner had his first court appearance on December 17, 2025, with lawyer Alan Jackson representing him initially. Jackson later stepped down as Nick's counsel citing circumstances beyond their control. Public defender Kimberly Greene was then appointed to represent Nick.
During the legal process, Jackson expressed confidence that Nick was not guilty of murder under California law. However, the Los Angeles District Attorney is fully confident that a jury will convict Nick Reiner of his parents' murders. Rob and Michele's family trusts the legal process and refrains from further comments on the proceedings.
