The actor Bobby J. Brown, known for his role on The Wire, has passed away at the age of 62 due to a barn fire incident.

According to reports, Brown was in a Maryland barn trying to start a vehicle when a fire broke out. His wife sustained severe burns while attempting to rescue him.

The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed that Brown's cause of death was from thermal injury and smoke inhalation, ruling it as an accident.

Acting Career and Legacy

Brown was best known for his role as officer Bobby Brown on The Wire, where he appeared in 12 episodes. Before acting, he was a successful amateur boxer.

Following his boxing career, Brown transitioned to acting after being involved in the 1988 movie Homeboy. He later auditioned and was accepted into the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.
