Cher's son Elijah Blue Allman, 49, was arrested on February 27 for alleged assault and criminal trespass at a New Hampshire prep school. Reports state he was causing a disturbance and acting belligerently.

Cher's son was charged with assault, criminal trespass, criminal threatening, and disorderly conduct. He was released on a personal recognizance bond, promising to appear for future court dates.

Elijah has no connection to the school where the incident occurred, and an investigation is ongoing. Cher, 79, has not publicly addressed the arrest, and her representative has not commented on the issue.

Background and Personal Struggles

Elijah, Cher's son with the late Gregg Allman, has faced personal challenges in the past. His estranged wife expressed his commitment to sobriety and his inner struggles.

Despite past divorce filings and personal challenges, Elijah's wife remains supportive of him. Elijah and Marieangela were married for 11 years before filing for divorce in 2025.

Conservatorship Battle

Elijah, 47, objected to Cher's request for a temporary conservatorship in 2024, stating he doesn't need one. Cher had previously filed for conservatorship due to concerns about his mental health and substance abuse issues.

A judge denied Cher's petition, ruling that Elijah could manage his finances, had an apartment, and remained drug-free after drug tests. Cher is also the mother of Chaz Bono, shared with Sonny Bono.
