Dr. Heavenly Kimes, known for "Married to Medicine," has officially qualified to run for the U.S. House of Representatives in Georgia’s 13th Congressional District.

Kimes, a Democrat, announced her candidacy to address issues such as affordability, healthcare, and education after 25 years of serving as a dentist and business owner in the Atlanta area.

The 2026 Democratic primary race for Georgia’s 13th District, including incumbent Rep. David Scott, will take place on May 19, 2026, covering parts of metro Atlanta and suburbs.

With a background in healthcare and entrepreneurship, Kimes aims to reduce costs for families, enhance healthcare access, improve education, and support small businesses in her campaign platform.

Early voting for the primary begins on April 27, as Kimes transitions from reality TV to politics, focusing on community service in her new role.
