Three days after Nancy Grewal, an influencer, was fatally stabbed, authorities disclosed that her death is under investigation as an "intentional" act. Grewal, aged 45, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, in LaSalle, Ontario. Police responded to a stabbing report around 9:30 p.m. and she was taken to a local hospital by emergency services before being pronounced dead.

The LaSalle Police Services Chief, Michael Pearce, stated on Friday, March 6, that investigators are confident the incident was not a random act of violence. Pearce emphasized that Grewal's murder is being probed as a deliberate act against her. The police are urging anyone with information on Grewal's death to contact Detective Sergeant Jamie Nestor or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

Grewal's sister, Alishaa Grewal, expressed her belief that the murder was pre-planned. Alishaa suggested that her sister may have been targeted due to her social media content criticizing various figures and expressing opposition to the Khalistan movement. Grewal, who had a significant online following, lived alone in Windsor, Ontario, after relocating to Canada in 2018.

Concerns arose when Grewal did not return home on March 3, as observed through surveillance cameras, prompting her family to suspect something was amiss. Alishaa mentioned that her sister had received threats before her death and had reported them to the authorities. The Service Employees International Union Healthcare, to which Grewal belonged, highlighted the need for improved safety measures in the homecare sector following her tragic death.
