Elijah Wood Reveals Surprising Insight Into Parenting 2 Kids: 'Kid-Dom Journey'

Actor Elijah Wood, known for his role in Lord of the Rings, discusses his life as a proud father of two children. In an interview with The Times on March 6, Wood, 45, shared that his 6-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter have moved beyond the toddler stage.

Wood, along with his wife Mette-Marie Kongsved, is introducing his children to the world of movies and entertainment that made him famous. Despite his iconic role in The Wizard of Oz, his kids have not yet watched the trilogy that brought him recognition.

In early 2022, Wood and Kongsved welcomed a daughter, making their family of four complete. The actor revealed this news during an interview with WSJ. Magazine on March 27. He mentioned that their daughter is now 14 months old.

Wood admitted that some movies, like Jumanji, turned out to be scarier than he remembered, making him hesitant to show them to his children. His upcoming role in the film Ready or Not 2: Here I Come ventures into horror, which may not be suitable for his young ones.

Despite his Hollywood success, Wood cherishes his role as a father above all else. He highlighted the positive side of the pandemic, mentioning how it allowed him to enjoy uninterrupted family time with his children, a precious experience he might not have had otherwise.
