Tragic End: Woman Kills Man Accused of Assaulting Young Relative
A woman from Tennessee has been arrested for fatally shooting a man named Noe Santillan Rincon after discovering he was accused of sexually assaulting a child related to her. The incident occurred in Memphis, where the man was found shot 14 times, including once in the head, in the early hours of February 26.
Rincon, aged 58, had been staying with the mother of Alishon Torres but left at 1 a.m. to go to a store. Torres, 18, reportedly began calling from Rincon's phone after his departure. The police have not disclosed the content of these phone conversations.
On March 5, Torres was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. She claimed that a 5-year-old girl in her family had accused Rincon of inappropriate touching weeks before the shooting. Torres allegedly confronted Rincon about the accusation while he was driving, leading to a confrontation and the fatal shooting.
Torres admitted to taking a photo of the crime scene, moving Rincon's body, and abandoning the van at an undisclosed location. She also confessed to using two guns in the shooting, with one gun found by police. Torres remains in custody, facing charges of murder, firearm use in a felony, and evidence tampering.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Memphis Police Department's homicide division. Torres, who is a citizen of Honduras, is being held until Immigration and Customs Enforcement can take custody of her.
