A reboot for Disney+ is in progress, with original cast members returning. The limited series, titled 'Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair,' will follow Malcolm as an adult with a daughter, drawn back into his family's chaos for his parents' milestone anniversary.

Frankie Muniz, who played Malcolm, has since explored racing and music, even participating in 'Dancing With the Stars.' He married Paige Price in 2020 and welcomed a son in 2021. Bryan Cranston, known as Hal on the show, found fame as Walter White in 'Breaking Bad' and won multiple awards.

Jane Kaczmarek, who portrayed Lois, continued her acting career post-'Malcolm in the Middle.' Christopher Kennedy Masterson, who played Francis, transitioned to DJing. Justin Berfield, known as Reese, has ventured into film production. Erik Per Sullivan, who played Dewey, declined to return for the revival, pursuing academia at Harvard.
