Recent domestic violence investigations involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen have led to disruptions in the filming of Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and the cancellation of Taylor's season on The Bachelorette.

A leaked tape showed Taylor throwing chairs at Dakota, resulting in Taylor pleading guilty to aggravated assault for the 2023 incident. Both individuals have made allegations against each other, prompting ongoing domestic abuse investigations by the Draper Police Department.

Dakota also reported another domestic violence incident involving Taylor in 2024 to the West Jordan police. The Salt Lake City District Attorney is reviewing these cases for potential charges.

Currently, Dakota has a temporary restraining order against Taylor and temporary custody of their son, Ever, with a hearing scheduled for April 7. Taylor has alleged possessive behavior and physical aggression from Dakota, leading her to request a restraining order.
