Amid ongoing fallout from domestic violence investigations involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen, filming for Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been put on hold. Taylor's season of The Bachelorette was also canceled following the emergence of a disturbing tape showing a domestic violence incident from 2023.

The leaked footage depicted Taylor throwing chairs at her ex-boyfriend, Dakota, who was filming the incident. Taylor later pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in relation to the 2023 incident. There is an active domestic abuse investigation involving both parties with allegations dating back to February 24 and 25, 2026.

In a separate incident, Dakota filed a complaint with the police in West Jordan, Utah, accusing Taylor of domestic violence in 2024. Authorities are reviewing video evidence related to this claim. Salt Lake City District Attorney Sam Gill is reviewing the investigative material to consider potential charges in both cases.

Notably, Dakota has been granted a temporary restraining order against Taylor and temporary custody of their son, Ever. The next hearing is scheduled for April 7 as Taylor prepares to present her side of the story. Court documents reviewed by TMZ reveal Taylor's allegations of Dakota's possessiveness and aggressive behavior leading up to the shelving of her Bachelorette appearance.
