Taylor Frankie Paul Seeks Protection from Dakota Mortensen After Alleged Physical Altercation
Amid domestic violence investigations involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen, filming for Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been paused. Additionally, Taylor's season of The Bachelorette was canceled after a tape of a domestic violence incident in 2023 surfaced.
In the leaked footage, Taylor was seen throwing chairs at Dakota, leading to her pleading guilty to aggravated assault for the 2023 incident. An ongoing domestic abuse investigation involving both Taylor and Dakota is being conducted by the Draper Police Department following allegations made in February 2026.
Dakota also reported a separate domestic violence incident involving Taylor in 2024 to the police in West Jordan, Utah. The Salt Lake City District Attorney is reviewing the cases and investigating the recent allegations made against both parties.
Subsequently, a temporary restraining order was issued against Taylor, and temporary custody of their son, Ever, was granted to Dakota. Taylor has sought a restraining order against Dakota, claiming he was increasingly possessive and had been physically aggressive towards her.
TMZ reviewed court documents where Taylor detailed instances of alleged abuse by Dakota. She claimed that Dakota had become possessive before her Bachelorette premiere and had resorted to physical violence when she rejected his advances.
