FBI's Belief in Nancy Guthrie's Ransom Notes Stuns Ashleigh Banfield
Ashleigh Banfield expressed her thoughts on the ransom notes related to the Nancy Guthrie case, suggesting that the initial notes received may be from the suspect.
Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today Show co-host Savannah Guthrie, was reportedly kidnapped on February 1. Despite a suspect being seen on her Ring camera, the kidnapper is still unidentified and at large.
Savannah Guthrie’s mother has been missing for more than two months.
During her Drop Dead Serious podcast, Ashleigh mentioned details from TMZ about the letters sent to local TV stations in Tucson. Two initial letters threatened Nancy Guthrie's life, information previously unknown.
The FBI believes the original letters to be genuine. TMZ received two new ransom notes on April 6, one indicating Nancy's demise and the other detailing a demand for Bitcoin in exchange for information.
The notes were sent by an individual claiming to have been residing outside the U.S. for over five years and denied involvement in the kidnapping, seeking Bitcoin payment for details on Nancy.
Authorities are actively investigating the recent ransom notes, while the case remains ongoing.
