Shock: FBI Verifies Nancy Guthrie Ransom Notes, Ashleigh Banfield Reveals
Ashleigh Banfield shared her opinion regarding the ransom notes in the Nancy Guthrie case. She believes that at least the initial notes received are from the suspect.
Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today Show co-host Savannah Guthrie, was reportedly kidnapped on February 1. Despite a suspect appearing on her Ring camera, the kidnapper remains unidentified.
Savannah Guthrie's mother has been missing for over two months. On her Drop Dead Serious podcast, Ashleigh discussed new details about the ransom notes received by TMZ and local TV stations in Tucson.
The FBI believes the "original letters" were genuine. TMZ received two new ransom notes on Monday, April 6, one of which suggested Nancy Guthrie is deceased and demanded half a bitcoin for information.
The sender of the notes claimed to have been living outside the U.S. for over five years and denied any involvement in the kidnapping. Authorities are investigating the new notes, and the case remains ongoing.
