Madonna Remembers John F. Kennedy Jr.

Madonna fondly recalled her late ex, John F. Kennedy Jr., during an interview with fashion designer Raul Lopez for the LGBTQ+ dating app Grindr on May 29. The interaction was to promote her upcoming album, Confessions II.

The Conversation with Raul Lopez

When asked by Lopez about her past romantic encounters, Madonna humorously chose to mention deceased individuals, including John F. Kennedy Jr. Kennedy, the son of former President John F. Kennedy, died in a plane crash in 1999 at age 38.

Lopez remarked that many people have spoken highly of Kennedy's romantic prowess, adding Madonna as the third person confirming it.

Details of Their Relationship

Madonna briefly dated Kennedy in the late 1980s as her marriage to Sean Penn was ending. A friend noted it was primarily a physical attraction and not expected to develop further.

Despite their brief encounter, Kennedy showed his affection by giving her keys to his apartment. However, his mother Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis reportedly did not approve of their relationship due to Madonna being married at the time.

The Aftermath and Legacy

Kennedy later considered featuring Madonna dressed as his mother for the cover of his magazine George, but she declined, citing differences in appearance and joking about her eyebrows.

Even though their relationship did not last long, JFK Jr.'s charm left a lasting impression on Madonna and those around him.
