Maria Bartiromo's Sudden Fox News Exit Sparks Major Speculation

Maria Bartiromo is out at Fox News after more than 12 years at the cable giant, the company said Thursday.

“Effective today, Maria Bartiromo is no longer with Fox News Media,” the company announced.

“We thank Maria for her work over the last 12-and-a-half years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” Fox News Media said in a statement.

The final episode of “Mornings with Maria,” Bartiromo’s weekday Fox Business Network show, aired Thursday morning. It will be replaced Friday by “Mornings with FOX Business,” featuring rotating anchors.

Her weekly “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” will become “FBN’s Wall Street,” with Cheryl Casone hosting this week before rotating anchors take over.

Bartiromo also hosted Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures.” Jason Chaffetz will host the program this Sunday, while Fox said a permanent replacement will be named later.

Fox Business also plans to unveil a new weekday programming schedule in the coming weeks.

The announcement fueled speculation that Bartiromo’s next career move would be replacing Karoline Leavitt as President Trump’s press secretary.

Vice President JD Vance said he did not believe Bartiromo, who wasn’t seen on Fox airwaves for more than a month before Thursday’s announcement, was headed to the White House after her departure.

“I love Maria. I think she’s an amazing person, amazing talent,” Vance told reporters.

“Whatever she does, look, she’s gonna do great, and I wish her all the best. She’s a very, very dear friend.”
