A mom of three who was a doctor for members of the UK royal family was killed while hosting a kids’ sleepover – and her husband has been charged with her murder.

Hannah Cain, 45, suffered a “blunt force injury to the right side of her head” and had an injury “that could be suggestive of compression of the neck” from Sunday’s attack at her $1.1 million home in Dersingham, just a mile from the royals’ Sandringham Estate, prosecutors said Wednesday, according to the BBC.

The doctor — whose patients included Queen Camilla — was hosting a sleepover for her children and their friends at the time, officials said Wednesday while charging her husband, Mark Cain, also 45, with her murder.

“There were children present in the property at the time,” prosecutor Jackie Hanlon told a hearing at Norwich Magistrates Court.

Dr. Cain — described by one neighbor as a “lovely human being with three gorgeous children” — worked for a year at the Grimston Medical Centre in eastern England, where Camilla and other UK royals are patients, according to the Sun

King Charles and Queen Camilla have been informed of her death, sources told the outlet.

The doctor’s husband has not entered a plea for the slaying, and officials have not released a motive.

However, the doctor seemed “stressed” and “distracted” during the school run just days before her death, something which was “out of character,” one of her friends told the Sun.

Locals have shared their horror and are reeling at what happened in the upscale area where such brutal crimes are rare.

“Dersingham is the sort of place where if you forget to lock your car and leave it out all night, nothing will happen to it,” one neighbor told the Sun.

“You read about things like this happening in other places,” another said.

“But nothing like it ever happens this close to home.”
